Israel has revoked the diplomatic status of Dutch embassy staff in Ramallah, according to NL Times, in response to the Dutch ban on imports from illegal settlements. It is not yet known how many people are affected, what their jobs are, or what the practical consequences will be.

Budget talks continue as fall prevention week begins
The cabinet continues its search for support for the budget today, and this week puts extra focus on preventing falls among older people. Night-time police raid in Hellevoetsluis
A heavily armed police arrest team raided a house on the Schar in Hellevoetsluis, in the Rotterdam region, at around 03:00 on the night from Sunday to Monday. Someone was inside, but as far as is known that person was not arrested.

Gouda supermarket goes bankrupt for a second time
In Gouda, the Hiper City supermarket in the Nieuwe Marktpassage shopping centre has gone bankrupt again. The business also went bankrupt in April, but the owner successfully challenged that decision, and this time the closure is final. The owners are being questioned because they are not cooperating with the bankruptcy trustee’s investigation.
