Friday brings a mix of city news and national debate: a fire at one of Amsterdam’s best-known venues, a sharper tone on Russia from the defence ministry, and fresh questions about phones and social media in Dutch classrooms. Commuters around The Hague also started the day in the rain and in traffic.
