Adecco, the human resources company, is recruiting 150 workers in Museros, in the province of Valencia, for the coming citrus season. According to 20minutos Valencia, the jobs are in fruit warehousing and handling and should run from roughly November to March.
What happened
20minutos Valencia reports that Adecco has opened a selection process for 150 people in Museros. The jobs cover warehouse work and the handling of citrus fruit during the campaña citrícola (citrus campaign), the harvesting and packing season that the paper describes as one of the busiest hiring periods for the Valencian agri-food sector.
The paper places the hiring in a wider rise in farm employment. It cites the Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA), Spain’s labour force survey, which showed that agricultural employment in the Valencian Community rose by 18% in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. That increase was higher than the national figure.
Adecco is hiring for three roles. Depending on the role, it wants people with experience in almacenes hortofrutícolas (fruit and vegetable warehouses) or industrial settings.
What it means for you
If you live in or near Valencia and have warehouse or factory experience, these roles may suit you. The conditions differ a lot between them, so check the details before you apply.
Citrus packers (encajadores de cítricos)
- Tasks: packing and preparing fruit to match orders, selecting produce, quality control, labelling and getting goods ready for dispatch.
- Requirements: experience in fruit and vegetable warehouses, attention to detail, and your own way of getting to the workplace.
- Contract: for the length of the citrus campaign.
- Hours: a reference week of 32 hours, which may change with production needs and the hours actually worked. Shifts run Monday to Saturday and rotate between mornings and afternoons.
Forklift drivers (carretilleros frontales)
- Tasks: loading and unloading, moving heavy materials and organising stock in the warehouse. The job includes running attachments such as spikes, coil handlers and rotators (pinchos, bobinas and volteadores) and managing stock with PDA handheld devices and SAP software.
- Requirements: at least five years of front forklift experience, experience in production settings, a valid carné de carretillero (forklift operator licence) and knowledge of logistics management tools.
- Also valued: experience in the metal industry, experience with other types of forklift, use of rotators, and a driving licence.
- Contract: temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent (indefinido).
- Hours: full time, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with some weekend shifts possible. Shifts rotate between mornings, afternoons and nights.
Net bag machine operators (maquinistas de mallas)
- Tasks: running and supervising the machines that pack and prepare the produce, which includes telling materials apart, changing the machine arms, checking weights and spotting faults or breakdowns.
- Valued: previous experience in similar work and being able to get to the workplace on your own.
- Hours: full time on varying shifts, depending on the needs of the campaign.
Two of the three roles ask for your own transport, and the forklift job lists a driving licence as an advantage. If you don’t drive, check how you would get to Museros, especially for early, late or night shifts.
The 20minutos Valencia article gives no pay rates, no closing date and no language requirements. You will need to find those out from Adecco directly.
How to apply
According to 20minutos Valencia, you can apply through the portal Adecco has set up for these Museros vacancies. Before you send your application, make sure your CV shows the experience each role asks for, such as years on a forklift or time in a fruit warehouse.
What to watch next
The citrus campaign is expected to start in November, so places are likely to fill in the coming weeks. If you have the experience and the licence, the forklift role is the one that offers a possible route to a permanent contract. With farm employment in the Valencian Community up 18% in the latest EPA data cited by the paper, more seasonal hiring like this may follow during the campaign.
