US questions bail for RAF Fairford suspects
Five British nationals from London were detained on suspicion of explosives and terrorism offences. The arrests followed reports of three suspicious vans outside RAF Fairford in Whelford, Gloucestershire, in the early hours of Sunday. On Tuesday police released all five on bail. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio then said a foreign actor was “clearly” involved, but he offered no evidence, and he and President Trump both expressed surprise at the release.
