Samsung’s Big Summer Show: What to Expect at Galaxy Unpacked July 2026
Samsung’s summer Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner, and the leaks are painting a clear picture of what the Korean tech giant has in store. Scheduled for mid-July 2026, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most significant launches since the Galaxy S series redesign.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7
The headline acts are almost certainly the next-generation foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumoured to feature a thinner, lighter design with a wider cover display that finally addresses the “too narrow” complaint that has dogged the series for years. Leaked renders suggest a book-style foldable that, when closed, resembles a standard smartphone rather than a remote control.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, meanwhile, may get the biggest cover screen yet seen on a clamshell foldable — reportedly 4 inches — along with an upgraded hinge mechanism rated for over 400,000 folds. Battery improvements are also expected, with the Flip 7 potentially hitting the 4,000 mAh mark for the first time.
Galaxy Ring 2 and Wearables
Samsung surprised everyone with the original Galaxy Ring in early 2025, and the second generation is expected to debut at this Unpacked. The Galaxy Ring 2 is tipped to add blood pressure monitoring and improved sleep apnea detection — features that would put it in direct competition with the Oura Ring 4. A new Galaxy Watch 8 series, featuring a redesigned BioActive sensor, is also expected.
Leaked Pricing and Availability
According to multiple European retailer listings that briefly appeared online, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could start at €1,899 — a slight decrease from last year’s model — while the Z Flip 7 may come in at €1,199. The Galaxy Ring 2 is expected to retail for around €399 with no subscription required, a direct jab at Oura’s monthly fee model.
Pre-orders are expected to open immediately following the Unpacked keynote, with general availability likely by late July or early August 2026. Samsung is also expected to announce expanded trade-in offers, potentially including competitor foldables for the first time.
One More Thing?
Industry watchers are speculating about a potential “Galaxy Glass” teaser — Samsung’s long-rumoured augmented reality glasses developed in partnership with Google and Qualcomm. While a full launch seems unlikely, even a prototype reveal would shake up the AR landscape currently dominated by Meta’s Ray-Ban partnership.
