A new Paris based startup called Sonar AI is emerging from stealth with a clear mission: help companies manage teams of AI agents. The company was founded by Antzi, a cofounder of the popular European payments app Lydia. He believes the next wave of productivity will come not from single AI tools but from orchestrated fleets of autonomous agents working together.

Sonar AI offers a platform designed to coordinate multiple AI agents that can handle complex business workflows. Instead of relying on one large model to do everything, the startup promotes a multi-agent approach. Each agent specializes in a specific task, such as data extraction, customer support, or code generation. The platform then assigns work, monitors progress, and reallocates resources when agents fail or get stuck.

Antzi compares the concept to managing a software engineering team. You do not want one developer doing every job. You want specialists who communicate and hand off work. Sonar AI applies that logic to AI agents. The platform provides a dashboard where managers can define goals, set guardrails, and observe how agents collaborate in real time.

Why multi-agent architectures matter now

<

p>The rise of large language models made single agent applications popular. Tools like ChatGPT and Claude handle many tasks but often struggle with complex, multi step processes that require handoffs between different skills. Sonar AI addresses that limitation by introducing orchestration layers. The platform uses a routing system that sends tasks to the right agent based on the request type and the agent’s performance history.

For example, a customer service workflow might involve one agent that classifies the inquiry, a second agent that retrieves account data, and a third agent that drafts a response. Sonar AI chains these steps together and handles the context switching between them. If one agent produces a low confidence result, the system can flag the issue or reroute the task to a human supervisor.

The startup also emphasizes safety and consistency. By limiting each agent to a narrow domain, the company argues that errors become easier to trace and fix. This modular design makes the system more transparent than a monolithic black box model. Enterprises in regulated industries, such as finance and healthcare, are particularly interested in this kind of auditability.

Funding and early adoption

Sonar AI has raised 4 million euros in seed funding. The round was led by a syndicate of French venture firms and angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to expand its engineering team and build integrations with popular enterprise software like Slack, Salesforce, and Notion. Antzi told the press that the startup already has a handful of design partners testing the platform in production environments.

Early use cases include automated invoice processing, employee onboarding, and software development workflows. One partner in the logistics sector uses Sonar AI to coordinate agents that track shipments, update inventory databases, and generate exception reports. The company reports that the system has reduced manual intervention by roughly 60 percent in those processes.

The startup is not alone in this space. Companies like CrewAI and Microsoft are also exploring agent orchestration. However, Sonar AI differentiates itself by focusing on enterprise grade reliability and a no code interface. Business users can define workflows through a visual editor rather than writing complex Python scripts. This lowers the barrier for teams that want to experiment with agent teams without hiring specialized engineers.

Looking ahead, Antzi sees a future where companies deploy dozens or even hundreds of specialized agents. He predicts that managing these digital workforces will become as important as managing human teams. Sonar AI wants to be the operating system for that new kind of labor. If the platform gains traction, it could change how organizations think about automation, moving from simple chatbots to sophisticated, collaborative agent networks.
