Anthropic’s AI agent sent a false murder tip to US police

Dutch prosecutors were warned repeatedly before last year’s hack

The Public Prosecution Service (Openbaar Ministerie, or OM) was not properly protected against cyber intrusions for years, NU.nl reports. AI companies prepare for a backlash after a major incident

Executives at companies including Anthropic and OpenAI are preparing for a public and political backlash if AI systems cause a “catastrophic” incident, Tweakers reports. The fact that they are planning for this shows they treat a serious failure as a real possibility. Older DDR4 memory makes a return as RAM prices rise

RAM prices keep rising, which makes it hard for many people to upgrade their PCs, and chipmakers have responded by turning back to the previous generation of memory. Intel and AMD are making new processors that support DDR4, the older and more affordable type of RAM. On Friday Gigabyte made an announcement tied to this trend. For anyone planning an upgrade, this could offer a cheaper route.
