Digg is back from the dead once again. Kevin Rose, the original founder, has returned to work full-time on a completely reimagined version of the iconic link-sharing platform — this time as an AI-powered news aggregator focused specifically on artificial intelligence coverage.
The new Digg, previewed at di.gg, looks nothing like the Reddit clone it was before. Instead, it ingests content from X in real time to determine what’s being discussed, using sentiment analysis, clustering, and signal detection to rank stories by importance. The homepage showcases top stories ranked by engagement metrics like views, comments, likes — all sourced from X rather than from Digg’s own platform.
Users can explore the top 1,000 people involved in AI, top AI companies, and top politicians focused on AI issues. The site tracks how influential figures like OpenAI CEO Sam Altman drive discussion chains. While currently focused on AI news, Rose plans to expand to other topics if successful. For now, Digg offers a unique signal-filtering tool for an otherwise noisy AI information landscape.
